     . “Have no fear of anything because the Lord will be your confidence”

Wisdom is “more profitable than silver & more precious than rubies… Nothing you desire can compare…”

How many of us actually want to “turn our ear to wisdom & apply our hearts to understanding”? How many of us would search for wisdom as we would for silver or a hidden treasure? Do we understand the value and worth of wisdom & knowledge? Do we understand that when we look for these things, we’ll understand the fear of the Lord & find His knowledge? [Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find…”]

Moral Benefits of Wisdom:
1. When wisdom & knowledge enter into our hearts, we experience pleasure
2. Protection
     . “Discretion will protect you”
     . “Understanding will guard you”
     . “Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men” 

The Lord is our victory & shield; He guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

Making the connection between wisdom and God, & realizing that they both provide protection only because wisdom comes from God; and because it’s from Him, the true value and worth of wisdom and knowledge is clearly seen.

Purpose & Theme:
1. For attaining wisdom & discipline
2. For understanding words of insight
3. For acquiring a disciplined & prudent life
4. Doing what is right, just & fair

Letting the wise listen and add to their learning… when they’re already wise?
. We can never know God to the fullest; that’s what great and big of a God we serve.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge

Proverbs are exhortations to embrace wisdom:
. “How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?”
. God wants to pour out His love for us & make His thoughts known to us. Lord, I’m amazed by You & how You love me ♥

Embracing knowledge & wisdom, choosing to fear the Lord..

Whoever listens to the LORD will live in safety & be at ease without fear or harm

It is not possible that God is not being active in our lives.
He is always working in us. We just choose not to see it sometimes.
Have hope & wait on Him.
Be patient & receive His discipline, His words of wisdom, & most importantly, His love.
